Landmarks Berhad has been IFCA software user since the early 2000. After the acquisition of Bintan Treasure Bay Pte Ltd (BTB), who is the master developer of Treasure Bay Bintan, a water resort city situated within the famed Lagoi area. Landmarks then developed the Treasure Bay resort island site and have invested more than S$425m into development of a resort spanning over 222 acres. The project also featured a luxury resort, serviced villas, a dedicated multi model transportation terminal, world class marina and lagoon, as well as amenities for entertainment, retail, night-life and F&B outlets.
It became apparent that Landmarks was no longer able to rely on a generic accounting system to manage their business. Background
Landmarks Berhad was inaugurated in 1973 and was involved in oil palm and rubber estate. Currently the group is actively involved in the property development and hospitality business. The group is also involved in joint ventures with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak, a state government own company, to develop housing projects in Northern part of Malaysia.
The group acquired a majority equity interest in Bintan Treasure Bay Pte Ltd (BTB) in 2007. The principal assets of which are the two parcels of leasehold land in Bintan Island, Indonesia measuring approximately 343 hectares. The land is strategically situated at the northern sector of Bintan Island, Indonesia and is to be developed as Treasure Bay Bintan. BTB is the master developer of Treasure Bay Bintan, a “Water Resort City” landscaped into integrated community of islands, land parcels, luxury residences, world class resort and retail facilities, waterways and canals.
